Offshore 26470PT

Limited edition of 10 Prints

A limited edition of 10 high quality prints, signed by the artist and numbered with a certificate of authenticity.

This original artwork was inspired by one of the most famous models of the notorious luxury watch brand – Audemars Piguet: the Royal Oak Offshore. This 42mm case platinum model with its octagonal bezel, its bright “méga  tapisserie” pattern dial, and its sporty features were the perfect motivation for this particular watch artwork.

The creation of this piece took ANCHAN not less than 180 hours of work, spread over a few months. Very representative of his work in general, this piece depicts what appears to be the famous watch, reproduced with a tremendous amount of intricate details. Only when looking closely, these details would reveal words and phrases such as “Royal Oak” or “Technical artistry”, and other elements relating to the original watch that have been hidden in the design by ANCHAN. The hidden aspects of the work add another dimension to those details that may appear to be random.

ANCHAN, whose real name is Anthony Agrifoglio, is a French artist passionate about details. He is an architect by trade, but an artist by heart. He has been living in Tokyo, the most mesmerising city in the world, for over a decade.

Inspired by traditional Japanese art, ANCHAN dedicates a long time to the details of each of his hand made “line-art” creations. His most prominent works are related to the amazing craftsmanship in the world of horology, which resonates substantially with the accuracy and precision of his approach.

ANCHAN expresses his personality through the conception of hand-drawn, very time-consuming and extremely detailed pieces of art. Above all, he loves to surprise his audience with his unique, yet easily recognisable style. Each creation reflects his belief that “God is in the details”, and depicts an adventure where there is always more than what meets the eye.
